‘A Silent Killer’ is a book designed in the form of a medical report, using data and visuals from medical charts that were significant to Savita Halappanavar’s treatment at University Hospital Galway. Expressive typography, composition, and layout are carefully considered to reveal information and data hidden in plain sight. As an object, the book displays the vulnerability of women who chose to give birth in Ireland under a sterile and inhumane law that was the Eighth Amendment.
